Happy 2006

Happy New Year to anyone or nobody reading my blog. Hard to believe so much time can go by so quickly.

Amy, Mike and Brady came for Thanksgiving break and we had a great time. Thus the picture with us by the table.

After that Mom and Dad visited. That was also a ball and I hope next time they stay longer. It was good to visit during normal life and have time to hang out and talk. Pic on the top.

Christmas break came and went. We stayed home this year so Samantha could rest before her trip to Africa, but I don't really think she got much rest. She was busy trying to get everything done for the last of her senior year and before her trip and seeing her friends as much as possible. She's been gone 10 days today and it seems like I haven't seen her in a month. The hardest thing I guess is not knowing where she is every minute of every day and not hearing about how everything is going. I know she's busy getting adjusted and I would think she's had her first couple of days of school under her belt by now. I can't wait to see how an all-girls Catholic boarding school is!

Sarah is back in college and hopefully enjoying this semester better than last. This semester brings new things to think about though, most specifically figuring out where she will live next year. It'll be fine, but it's a lot to sort through I know.

Tom has started training in HVAC a little at work. He seems like he likes it. He'll just sort of drift in and out of training over the next year or so, while still trying to keep up with the regular work orders he gets. I'm glad he likes his job.

All is well with me, except for my computer addiction. Even though I really miss the girls and can't help worrying about Sami in Africa, I do like being a "couple" again. It's amazing how much you focus on your kids. Your couple time really gets shafted for so many years. No wonder people get divorced. Luckily I have a really great husband who still loves me even though my main focus for 19 years has been those 2 lovely girls of ours. I'm so blessed.

Many blessings to you all.
